		<description>In my experience, they&#039;re effective when all else fails -- and when i&#039;ve followed through and actually do it (she&#039;s still in her crib, so her crib, with everything fun taken out, is her &quot;time out&quot; spot), it&#039;s even more effective the next few times it&#039;s needed.   I use it almost exclusively when she&#039;s in melt-down tantrum &quot;out-of-control&quot; needs to be in a padded room mode.

I&#039;m a HUGE fan of the count-down... in fact, I spend so much time counting with her that I sometimes feel like a character out of a spaghetti western.... by the count of three....123 draw!</description>
