On Momversation: Childbirth Choices
Share
Hey, I kicked off the "momversation" this time! Childbirth is a subject that really resonated with me, and we got to use the term "vaginal" a great deal, so that was cool. And I enjoyed hearing what the other mom-bloggers had to say about this topic. I think that if you had a C-section you, can relate to this, but maybe all women who now have a child can relate! Do you feel there is a tyranny about the "right" way to have a baby?

Enjoyed seeing the video….I had 5 c-sections …..it wasn't as bad as I would have thought and I have five girls that are healthy …
I would love to email you Daphne to ask you a question - is it possible?
I am at anita@anitadoberman.com or http://www.ovolina.com
Cheers

you should have put in a zipper. glad you liked the video. were the subsequent c sections easier to bounce back from? go to contact and email feedback.
thanks.
Daphne
A zipper - hahahahaha!!!
I had a c-section the first time when I walked in with a dumb-ass 5 page birth plan. That fucking plan sealed the deal.
Of course I lived North of San Francisco where they are all like drug-free, scalpel free, breast feed until the kid is 10, blah, blah, blah….
My thoughts on my next one went like this. 1) I'd prefer not to see the sharp side of a scalpel 2) I'd much rather prefer to come out of this alive and with a kicking and screaming baby 3) if I do have to get reacquainted with the scalpel I won't be going for baby #3 so just tie those fucking tubes while you are in there.
I had VBACs for my next 2. For me they were easier to recover from. For one of my BFs her 3 c-sections were awesome. My other BF had 5 vag births - the nurse told her it looked like a Mac truck had driven through her whoha after she delivered her last, a matching set of twins.
I sooooo agree with you Daphne. Shut the fuck up. Why can't women just support each other?! We have a hard enough time and yet we bring each other down like hyenas on a baby gazelle or something. Geeze.
You'll love your c-section with your music playing and no drama…save your energy for the hard part which lasts like forever as opposed to an hour or two.
