This bathroom confessional with all the clinking noise in the background makes me feel sorry for ya! My nails have looked like crap for 7 years now. I have a gift cert to a posh spa that I won at the elementary school SPRING FAIR. Still have not used it. Pathetic, huh. I must say when I find that free 45 minutes I usually go to the gym, not the salon. Hopefully this is a better call in the long run but boy do my eyebrows need some help…

sooo with you! i totally judge chipped nail polish.i can’t help it. eck!!! so much so that i use the file, buffer and hand lotion over color these days. i’m in diapers, dishes and hand soap all day long. the polished nail wears too fast! it annoys me. i want it to last much longer, especially after paying someone to do it.
there will be time for nail polish again, LATER!

You can give yourself a professional manicure at home. All you need to do is, search online simple tools and tips of the professional manicurists use. Do it for 1 or 2 times and then it would be very easy for you, such that you can do it once in a week with out any difficulty.

how old is she? I bring Viv along with a toy. one place plays videos for her and one has a dog so both keep her interest.
I’m against starting them too young on the grooming route. Feel the nerotic lady stuff can wait :}

if you know it makes you that happy have a standing appointment every ten days. I need to be more scheduled myself. if not, years go by.

I so feel your pain. I actually get sad when I look at pictures of the past and I see my flawlessly manicured nails. I always had them polished and perfect pre-baby. And now?? I’m lucky to get in… well, is the moon blue yet?

I can handle skipping the mascara, I can handle not shopping for adorable shoes like I used to, but not having my nails done makes me feel… so… let go. I keep telling myself that one day my daughter will be old enough to JOIN me in the pleasure found in a manicure! Can’t wait…

I’m so with you on the polish thing. Because my nails peel/split and I live in such a dry climate, I tend to keep them painted … but I hate the upkeep. I’ll go through phases where I’ll wear COLOR for several weeks (having to touch up or redo every 4 or 5 days) then I’ll simply wear a nude or buff coat for weeks. Nothing tackier, IMO, than chipped dark polish and rings on every finger. LOL

Also, I’ve found that the Sally Hansen 10 Day No Chip (or something like that) is the best polish … better than the more expensive salon brands, IMO.
