On Momversation: Baby Weight
Share
Today, the Momversation ladies dig into a big pile of "Did this baby make me fat?" When it comes to baby weight, where does the wear-and-tear of pregnancy end and personal responsibility start? Maggie Mason of Mighty Girl starts the conversation.

Hi, i was 135 before i hand my 1st Logan. 200 When i delivered him . I never lost all the weight i gained I tried weight watchers ,and crazy diets. With this pg i have only gained 4 lbs at 22 weeks . Go back to the doctor in like 2 more weeks . I wonder if it will catch up with me, or if i might come out skinny after this baby . I HOPE THE SKINNY ONE !
good luck Carly, well most of what I said ended up on the cutting room floor of this momversation, but
I do think that nursing helped me lose my baby weight. lost it all in 3 months. was doughy for a bit longer. And I just ate less. how can you not when you have a newborn?
I too am hoping for the same skinny result with this baby. I'm older so I hope it still works. But a year after my daughter was born I was 12 lbs lighter than I was when she was conceived.
Def. forget crazy diets. I think portion control, no emotional eating works better.
I'm having such a hard time getting my waist line back! I've lost all but about 5-8lbs of the 35lbs I gained (my daughter is 8months). I can get back into most of my clothes . . . but they look terrible on me!!! Finding time to exercise feels impossible between 3 days a week of work and all the other activities. In the mean time, when I feel like I'm out of energy I tend snack! Bad plan, I know! Getting rid of this ring of bread dough around my waist has been soooo hard.
