National Day of Service

Comments (6) Share

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Barack Obama has asked everyone to perfom a charitable service. I think that because the economy is struggling, the best way to help out is to spend your money. Consumerism is the new charity. Don't break the bank; just, you know, buy a cupcake or two.

Daphne, you can buy me a cupcake! My ass might mind, but truly, who cares about that? It's for the good of the economy!

Yeah, that found that loser asshole here in Tallahassee, prick.

I'm with you, Daphne. Now I finally have an excuse for being so frugal when times were good. It's so much more satisfying to spend money when you know the economy actually needs it.

I'll show you my purchases, if you show me yours.

Trickle down???? ACK, tell me you didn't actually use that term!! I'm all for spending b/c you're right; hoarding is NOT what the economy needs. I think though instead of "trickle down" we should call it "spread the love." :)

spread the love.. feel the love! whatever you want to call it. inflation is coming with all these bailouts so probably better to have money in stuff rather than cash!

I love this quote from "Hello, Dolly"

Money is like manure; it's not worth a thing unless it's spread around encouraging young things to grow

So, I did my part…went shopping at Old Navy's clearance sale. got 4 maternity shirts for $2 each (yea…a bargain) plus a couple new items. Service in action! LOL

I love your vlogs, but in this one all I could think was: "OMG!! She is sitting outside and is not even wearing long sleeves"
Guess I could say I was born in the wrong country, but I think that I was just born on a wrong degree of latitude.
Or at least, that is how the online dictonary translates it.
Is that correct English? I wish I was not too lazy to look it up, but alas.
