Getting Ready For Sibling

Here's a vlog I did while I was still pregnant about Vivien and getting her ready for her new sibling. I have not one but four presents for Vivien from the baby. Everyone says to do this. I bought stuff awhile ago and kept stashing it in places where Viv wouldn't find it. Then I forgot about it, so I was just happy to discover: a puzzle, two skirts, pajamas… oh, and something else. What was it? My brain is going.

Also, a friend told me that when the sibling visits Mom and the new baby in the hospital, Dad and the older child should bring the baby to Mom. That way, the mother isn't already holding the baby causing the older sibling to think, "Get off of my mom!" Well, she probably thought that anyway. I'm the youngest, so I never experienced this. I was always jockeying for attention. Hmm… reason I became a performer?

I did this, and even at the age of 3 my son said 'but where did she GET this toy? Did she go shopping??" But he liked it and has never really been jealous of her…

We gave my oldest a gift from the baby…he wasn't having it. He didn't want it, he didn't believe the gift even came from the baby. When visitors actually brought something for the big boy, he LOVED that. In fact that was how he first bonded to his first stuffed lovey!!

During nursing time, I put on a special video…that worked well…it was a Mommy and Me video, so maybe it made him feel more connected to me since he was watching other kids connect with their moms…this is what I tell myself 3 1/2 years later!

About having a crush on Trace Adkins…I don't know what it is about that man, but they should bottle it. When he was on The Apprentice those women, intelligient (some of them), non-country, women, were practically sitting on his lap and licking his face. He is magnetic, and I can't explain why. Pretty unbelievable when I'm turning into a puddle from watching him on tv…what is he like in person?!?!
