After Rex’s illness, I’ve become a germ freak. Swine flu, schmine flu. If you come into my house, you better be sanitized from head to foot.

Me, my two year old, and my four month old all just came down with confirmed swine flu. Honestly, it’s not any worse than the regular flu. If you survive the regular flu, you can survive the swine flu. My children are fine, I am fine. And I even have pretty bad asthma. Granted that did make my case a little different than my childrens (lots of breathing meds) While my two year old had the worst fever-wise. My four month old basically just got cranky with a runny nose. What I would suggest fearing is the Swine Flu TEST!!! For those that think it is a simple blood test you are VERY VERY wrong!!!!!! They stick a hose up one nostril and down the other that sucks up what feels like peices of your brain!!!!!!!!!! If you think you or your child has the swine flu, just assume that they do…and stay AWAY from the test. It may traumatize your children or even (as in my case) yourself:)
