They got TONS of free stuff. Who wouldn't like that? But, when the show went from daily survival in a house of 8 kids to "let's pimp a dentist to get free teeth whitening", it became disgusting. A girlfriend of mine, who LOVED the show said last week, "I think they are the biggest prostitutes of all time." Yep. I agree. Nice house, great tummy tuck, nice cars, cool playhouses, TOTALLY DESTROYED family. Not such a good trade off. Like the Momversation said, I feel sorry for those kids. Their daily life is on DVD for all time. Even if most of the world forgets about them, that has to be some major baggage to carry into adulthood. Done and done. Not a TV watcher but over the years caught up on them. What is happening now gives me respect for Octo Mom for crying out loud. At least she won't be whoring out the kids EVERY week right? I liked the show much better when Kate chased her kids in sweats and no makeup and said "this is what a real mom of 8 looks like." Made me feel not so bad about my own sweatpant habit. Now everytime we see her, she's tanned, makeuped and wearing high heels and a leather coat. I'm all for feeling good, but to me, that's not real life. I think they should quit the show- I can't watch it anymore, I just feel bad for them and the kids! I am sick of J&K.
