There is another big x-factor that was not brought up in this episode- parental involvement. If you must or just choose to send your kids to public school, you need to be a lot more present than if you pay for the perfect private school (or land a spot in a magnet school) with small classrooms, lots of one-on-one attention, specialized instruction, and all of the other niceties.
