Eating Is a Contact Sport

Maybe next feeding, I should wear a raincoat…

1st - he is adorable! I did the whole bib thing with my daughter and was fairly successful. She was a fantastic eater and kept fairly clean. My son, a whole other story. I threw out the bibs within the first month of starting solids with him. He is a SUPER messy eater and always got it all over his clothes. Up until a few months ago (he is 15 months now) he just ate naked and went straight into a bath after, I just didn't want to deal with the clothes and stains.
i hear you on the easy nursing. People are starting to ask when Virginia will start solids (she'll be 6 mos on the 26th) and i'm fine with waiting. She's growing just fine, getting plenty to eat from my overactive milk ducts and we have a nice rhythm going.
BUT, miss v is getting quite interested in everything that goes in our mouths, so i expect we'll have to start her off on something next month.
you are so cute and funny!
I always say the less food they have, the less mess they can make. Thankfully my son wasn't really interested in solids until he was nearly a year!
But when he was younger I stopped doing the mushy foods because he was very capable of picking up little bits of cooked carrot and eating them himself. Chunks of food are much easier to clean up lol!
Oh and they have hard/shell type bibs that have a little scoop on the bottom. They look really dorky but they're amazingly handy! (My husband calls it our son's "armour")
I can't even tell you just HOW PRECIOUS Rex is OMG.
And I never used bibs either. Just one extra thing to mess up.
LOOOOOOOVED IT! His face after you gave him the food was priceless!
And yes, even though I didn't nurse for too long I totally agree with you. Once they start solids is a pain…
I'm so glad someone else is wearing a scrunchy. My friends ridicule me, " the 80's called, they want their scrunchy back!" ho ho ho. LOVE, my scrunchy, so convenient, so cosy!
