I felt like a really accomplished something this weekend. I managed to go through all of Rex’s drawers and put the clothes he no longer fits in into a large shopping bag. I was spilling over there were so many clothes. Most I would love to pass on to someone as they are still in great shape. A couple I will be fashion into a scarf so that they are with me always. (Cut to shot of lady with a white lace trimmed onesie wrapped around her neck).
Then I organized the drawers. I unearthed the cute clothes that he has not worn or barely worn and can wear in one drawer, and the ones that he will wear in 2 to 6 months in another drawer. PJs and sweaters in a separate place. Then once I saw some of his more dashing clothes, I had to call up Sears Portrait studio to get his picture taken.
It all started with this vlog. And sorry, yes, it looks like I’m going to Basic Instinct on you, but not quite. Sorry, that’s the problem when you are your own cameraperson.
ah no! this is so going to happen to me soon!
it already happened in pregnancy – i got so many cute hand-me-downs to wear and i just sort of…left them in a bag. once you find that huge pink shirt that feels like buttah – it’s not coming off.
um and rex’s belly (and the rest of him) is ADORABLE.
Aw Rex is cute!!!! Cutie patootie!!
Hey have you tried a baby consignment store…I took all our stuff there and they will go through it for you and quote you a price. I mean it’s all gonna go somewhere eventually, might as well get some moolah for it right? IDK what they have in your area but where i used to live it was called “ONce upon a child” —Great store!
You’re a fucking riot!
Oops.
Can I say that?
You are!
Too funny!
thanks. yes, was thinking about a consignment store. I purchase stuff at them myself.
yes, the same can happen with maternity stuff fast. still need to take that to consignment as well.
Why all the breast Daphne? We love you as a peer! And pretty sure all my peers aren’t flashing the boob to keep me entertained.. (Yeah know you hate the boob reference but didn’t want to be redundant on the the breast thing..)
I have boobs but keep them in check, covered. Maybe I should start flashing? Am ‘sure’ my 17 year old son would appreciate that, (NOT!) and my 12 year old daughters might think that is the way to be stylish (DO NOT EVEN GO THERE GIRLS!
Maybe in time you will understand that Mommy flashing her breasts is not so cool. Save it for the hubby my dear~!! Put the breasts away for special occasions Daphne!
virginia (5.5mos) got a stuffed dinosaur with tags like that all down the back. we call it tagasaurus and so far, she really loves it. at least she really loves chewing on it.
and i gotta say, p’shaw on amy’s comments about the cleavage! i try to rock mine as much as possible, cuz, seriously, please don’t travel your eyes south of there, where the baby flub is hanging out.
oh, the clothes… my elder daughter was small and grew slowly, so i have a massive wardrobe in size 6-9/12mos (worn from age 15mos to nearly 3yrs old) and after that… not so much. baby is rockin all kinds of fun stuff now, but i expect in about a month, her wardrobe will be down to a few pairs of leggings and a couple tshirts and maybe a sweater.
Wendy, okay, good to hear that tag thing works for somebody.
Amy, ouch, sorry my breast offend. I don’t have a stylist for my cool mom shoots and just try to fit into my before baby clothes . with my nursing breasts, it happens.
Wendy, yes, that is a good strategy to distract from mid section flab which would be worse.
Daphne – If I had breasts that didn’t look like I nursed four children, including twins, for 18 months each, I’d show them off too.
You look gorgeous. Don’t give it a second thought.
Oh Amy – as a mom to a 3 month old, I can tell you that cleavage and boobs are part of the territory. When you’re nursing you need those bad boys as accessible as possible. And, unless you’re new to this site, you know Daphne’s not trying to prove anything by showing some skin. Relax!
Ummm Amy,
Put the breast’s away for special occasions?!! What, should they only be out on high days and holy days?!
Daphne, I had two of those taggie books (one was a gift and one I bought b/c I couldn’t find the one that was gifted to me) and my daughter never liked it either. I had the same expectations as you to no avail. She was more interested in anything and everything BUT that darn $10-13 crap..LOL
And Amy..wow..I’m sure Daphne didn’t mean to purposely show or “flash” her breasts in this shoot. In my opinion, she’s a hot mom and if she shows a little breast then it’s OK by me!
YOU GO, DAPHNE!
ah, thanks gals . You are my BREAST friends. Allison, funny line.
Dana, wow, hat’s off to you. Amazing you kept nursing that long with twins. You are a champ.
