Funny that I watched this today because today was the first time in a LONG time that I tried to run again. I dropped the kids in the day care at the gym, let poor henry cry for a few, just so I could run (he was fine in under 5 minutes BTW). All that only to discover my knee has fallen apart - so upsetting - age is truly catching up with me. I'm not giving up yet though. I think I need to work on getting my muscles stronger, then I will try again.

Daphne, sometimes I think we're the same person. Connor is still little so I have some years to get over it before the injuries begin. But yea, there are a lot of pokey things out there and unprotected eyeballs.

When I was 15...my nickname was "mom". Apparently I have always been freaked out by potential injury. I am naturally clumsy and have hurt myself pretty ferociously a few times. Never hospital worthy (well, not having insurance as a kid my mom jut put bag balm & butterfly bandaids on everthing)...but there were some doozies. I have the scars to prove it.

I'm such an overly cautious person (goes hand in hand with my intense need to worry all the time). Snowboarding, skiing, and all that nonsense just makes no sense to me.

My butthole is squarely lodged in my esophagus on a regular basis thanks to having kids. My daughter is 9 months and at that age where she's always falling. My son is 3 and is a daredevil. I have a feeling that it never stops. My son LOVES to jump as high as he can and land on his knees. I wince just thinking about it.
