  1. That right there is my biggest gripe: why do I have to LEAVE MY OWN HOME to be alone?

No one gets here, you get it, though. I just want to be home alone, not forever…just for a while…I think it’s the uninterrupted time that I need. Also, it sounds less quiet and lonely when you know they’ll be back soon.

  2. My favorite things to do when I’m home alone are the things I scold the kids for when they are home.
-Make a smoothie and slurp the last bit REAL LOUD
-Stand staring into the fridge for five minutes
    -Slam the laundry room door
    -Take a really long shower
-Leave my shoes in the hallway
In general, the behaviors you need to had to give up when you had kids.

  3. Oh my home alone? Like no one else in the house? Nope, I have no idea what you are talking about. Sometimes my husband takes one baby out somewhere with him but never both. Nope, Mama is always on call.

But even when they are down for the night and my husband is gone, I don’t craft or read or clean, no I watch trashy tv like Real Housewives of where ever, uninterrupted!

  4. I haven’t been home alone…in some time. I will probably not be home alone for at least another year. 🙂

My first instinct, though…TAKE OFF MY PANTS. I don’t know what it is about being alone that makes me want to be pantsless…but there it is. That’s even the first thing I want to do when the kids go to bed. (Oh, we have company? Akward!)

  5. I’m the same way!! I think I could clean or do something productive that way but then that would be a wast of my ME time. Then I think I should nap…i try but I can’t cause I’m thinking of all the things I could be doing. So, I end up sitting on the couch catching up on DVRed stuff. Which is just perfect..:)

  6. I totally cracked up at this because I know exactly how you feel. I have a 2 1/2 year old and an 8 month old, and whenever I get home from work and they’re not home yet I don’t know what to do with myself. Funny how I think I can nap, read, eat, and watch whatever I’ve recorded on the DVR in the 15 minutes I have to myself before they get home. Oh, I also like to go to the bathroom by myself without a baby on my lap or a toddler offering me tic-tacs for doing a good job going potty. 😉

  7. Loved it! The possibilities are so overwhelming. Whenever I find myself in that situation I just end up spinning and then the glorious, golden alone moment is lost. Oye! It’s like I need an in case of emergency break glass thing where inside are instructions on what to do when you are home alone.
