Ring, Ring! It’s Your Baptism!

When Vivien was a little I had heard about Stroller Strides. A group of gals, led by a mom teacher, who workout together in public places as they push their kids in their strollers. It’s an inexpensive exercise class and one of the few ways you can workout without hiring a baby sitter. Being a new mom everything seemed so tough to do at first.  I did eventually go and got something out of it but, didn’t know if it was quite my people.

With Rex I didn’t care if I was throwing off our precious schedule. I needed to move this body. So, I started back with the striders. The same nice gal is running the group and fortunately this time I feel like I connect with the moms better. In the beginning of the year I wasn’t working much I went a lot.. now, not as much.

Anyway, one day the moms were talking between dips and singing “Wheels on the Bus” while we worked on our triceps, and that is what led to this vid.

  1. i should find something like your stroller group.. but the weather is so often craptacular (what with all the freakin rain), that outdoor stuff is hard. i’m so lame, i have days where i don’t run errands i should run, cuz i don’t want to deal with the baby in the yucky weather.

also, professionals taking calls on MY dime? not cool.

  2. Unbelievable! That one takes the cake. I’ve heard phones going off in church, but I’m quite sure none of them were any of our ministers’ phones. I am dumbfounded.

And for the record, don’t most phones have a little silencer button on the outside?? I know mine does. Couldn’t that pastor have just hit the button and checked his messages later??? WWJD?

  3. LOL love the what would J do! Give his phone to a poor person?
Wendy, if I was in hard weather, I’d bow out a lot I’m sure.
I thought there are stroller strides in other places.
Between trips and working more the last few weeks I’ve barely been, but want to go back while Rex will stay in the stroller.

  4. …Um, shouldn’t a person’s phone be silenced or off any time they are actually performing their job with a client/customer? Mine takes forever to power on & off…so I silence it. I do forewarn people that I will check who is calling. My husband is in Afghanistan…if I don’t take his call when he calls, there’s no telling when I might hear from him again. But I’m pretty sure if you can tell the person to call you back, it wasn’t important enough to answer in the first place.

  5. That IS pretty bad… Manners people.. Manners..

Momentous events only come so often and marred by a cell phone? I want to say NICE, but really NOT at all so…

  6. found your blog on momversations. That’s great! I tried to do Zumba at home while holding my 20-pounder…I mean weights are good, but I cannot pull that off.
