Glad to hear that Rex is doing well. My husband doesn’t get the thing about kids’ problems being all-consuming. I do. And it doesn’t have to be health issues only. I find myself stymied when any of mine are having a really hard time with school or friends or sports or whatever. Living a sort of “just get me through the day” mentality.

Parenting. It sucks the life right out of you…

What you wrote made me think why all my pictures of me the first year of life with all 3 of mine, are so dismal.

All 3 of our kids were born with asthma: and that first year with uncountable ER visits did me in.

I never thought of it that way…I lived and breathed Their Health all day, all night.

Never thought of it…wish I could’ve been kinder to myself. I was so hard on myself, why didnt’ I eat? Or have energy? Or socialize more.

I just realized it now with what you wrote: I was all consumed.

Thank you, I now have a new found admiration for myself and what I went through.

I really chastised myself b/c I couldn’t do playdates, etc.
