A movie marketer could starve trying to make films for me these days. I know more about films from 1940 than 2010 (hence my kinship with older gay men). But, a few times a year I emerge and I do love seeing films. Provided there are no violent scenes, children in peril, gambling or people who are knowingly doing criminal acts unless it's a cool super spy type thing. The other stuff makes me tense.
I go to movies to be transported.

I'm so with you - LOVED the second movie. Loved it! I needed the escape myself.
I agree - women need to support each other. I haven't made it out yet to see it, but can't wait. I couldn't care less what the reviews are. I've spent a lot of years with these ladies, and had a lot of wine with them, not going to miss it!
Thank you! I don't care if it's not high art–sometimes the shoes and the chat and the extremely attractive male backside are sufficient. And let's face it; it's nice to see a man get visibly excited by a woman who's over 25!
I used to work at a video store as a teen…and I have seen SO MANY movies that don't even deserve to be called movies (and I agree with you on the 40s things!)…
Anywho…I have never been a fan of the SITC franchise…but for a night out with the girls…I would have muddled through.
Georgeous dress!!! C'mon, head to toe fashions is what your ladies deserve! Matching lipstick AND toenails, with toddlers thrown in there.
Never been done.
(cheer!)
Okay you are right, you are TOTALLY COOL!! I agree with you. I also have this thing for Chick Lit, too and why not? Life is so serious and busy and the kids, the job, the blogazine….. I need some fun fantastical mind fun.
You are right on!
yes, chick lit would be in that arena as well.
I meant to give credit regarding that dress. It's by http://www.davidmeister.com/
He has been a guest on my show a couple of times. Very nice guy. I had just had Rex and I saw this dress of his and did , "sigh, I wish I could fit into that" and he gave it to me! Well, it took a year for me to fit into, but I love it.
Daphne,
I'm interested in finding out if you plan to see the film, "Inception". I attended a screening with my teenage daughter and she and I both loved the film. There are two very strong and intriguing female characters in the film (Ellen Page and Marion Cotillard), although they do not really appear in the trailers and TV spots. I do hope women see this film. I would really like to know your opinion of the film.
