Ages of dating

Comments (4) Share

It's not all sleep patterns and unwashed hair.  Sometimes I look back to my "no child, non married" life and reflect…

I marvel at people who marry young and handle it with maturity.  That would not have been me.  It's best I waited.

I got married when I was 20. But I only started dating when I was a few months shy of 19. Yeah. I did it that fast, lol. ;)

I knew I was not going to meet some highschool boy & be with him forever…so I didn't even bother. I waited until I had interested parties that I met in non-school/work settings.

And I still turned down a lot of the idiots that asked me to come check out the sound system in their 2000 Ford Explorers. (Damn, that was a popular ride back then, haha.) Anywho…My brothers introduced me to my husband. I figured if he was cool enough to hang with my brothers…and since they had convinced me he wasn't gay (yeah…I thought he might be)…I gave him a shot…and we just had our 7th wedding anniversary last week…so I think we're doing okay.
