In honor of my Dad, I wanted to run some of my favorites relating to the father relationship. Also, his memorial was this past Saturday (it went so well, incredible) and I’ve been too overwhelmed and wiped out to my bones to do much. So, I need a little break from creating new video content this week. Also, the Cool Mom eyeballs have gone up quite a bit since I first posted this video, so it might be new to many of you.
I’m so please that Rex adores his dad, because Vivien is more of a mommy’s girl. So happy that Mark has a kid who is nice to him. This is about when poor dad is not getting the love.
I have a daughter who adores her dad. But one of my girlfriends, her son sees his dad walk in the door and will often scream “No!!!! Daddy, go back to work. Go away!!!” Yikes.
poor dad!
The hardest part with my son making the relationship with his dad in the beginning was because dad didn’t do much but change his diapers and feed him when he took a bottle. My husband has loved our son since the moment he came into the world but he was not a big fan of the ‘infant’ stage so the connection didn’t really happen until he was about 6 months when my son was crawling and babbling and reacting to the funny faces my husband made. Now my son is 15 months and runs up to his daddy as if his dad was made of chocolate or something and my husbands reaction is priceless–he just melts:)
