I have a feeling I’m not the only one a tad interested in this story.
Yeah my big question is where did they shit? 170 days times 33 people times 1 shit per day would be 5,610 piles of shit. OK, maybe they crapped a little less with lack of food, but still, that’s a shitload of shit.
I have to say… I have been thinking that for weeks. Funny it’s never brought up. I guess once they had that tube in place and could have stuff brought down, stuff could go up. It seems like it was a tight tube so I can’t figure out how they got those cots down there.
They sent stuff down in PIECES and it had to be re-assembled. I was thinking, “Christmas Eve nightmare: IN THE MINES”. I mean, I can barely assemble all the crap I get for the kids…let alone stuff that will help me SURVIVE.
I found out I was claustrophobic in a cave. Underground. While I was holding my 2 yr old. Panic attack much?
we watched, for hours, as the miners came up one by one. it’s an amazing story of perseverance and hope.

the miners were all freshly bathed and shaved when they came up, though i’m sure their relatives didn’t care!
