As much as I savor Rex’s cute babyhood, now toddlerhood, I do think sometimes, gee, it would be great to take my kids to a movie, a restaurant, or on a plane for more than two hours without giving me an ulcer.
Well, I got a little peak at the future and it was good.
Laughing with tears in my eyes, as is becoming the case. I’ve sweated through many a family dinner, and we still play more tic-tac-toe than I’d like.
my eldest was practically banished from going out (restaurants to grocery stores) from about 18mos til she was nearly 3, but from then on, dinners out were quite nice. now we’re at toddler (15mos) stage again and going out to eat seems like a ridiculous notion! but, we’ll probably do it every other month or so, at family-friendly joints, just to see if this one is better at it.
oh for sure, our going out has really been cut down. it seems recession like, but it’s more toddler driven than anything.
Wonderful. So wonderful. Especially since I know how much of a role dining plays in your lives., with Mark being a chef.
This is wonderful.
My sweet boy, Rex, way to make this reader proud, honey!
Wow.. eating without the quick shovel method.. Most days with my 8 month old.. its another day, another cold dinner.
