Daphne the explorer: Tree Down!

Oh, that agonizing decision…when do you take the tree down?  I meant to put this up a couple of weeks ago when I did it, but I accidently packed it in the garage with my ornaments and tinsel.  My alter ego the gal who watches too much kid TV explains it all.

I finally just took it down while Vivien was at school one day.  Yes, it did not go over well.  But, that sucker had to come down.

  1. Daphne, you couldn’t be trashy if you tried. I think you’re effortlessly fabulous. Perhaps your could get Viv one of those delightful synthetic trees for her room…. not that they’re trashy or anything.
Enjoy your vlogs and blogs a great deal, expecting my 1st baby in March.

  4. I love soon-to-be moms. I haven’t known one in a while…what an exciting time! This video was adorable, Rex, and Vivien’s attachment to her family’s traditions. And, fun to see your ornaments!

  5. I love your videos — partly because I never know what you’re gonna say, and partly because I know that whatever it is, I’ll be laughing.

Love the reasons to take down the tree. My ex-MIL once left one up til St. Patrick’s day. She said she almost got to the point where she wasn’t gonna take it down! Yep…my ex’s family. Sigh.

  6. Funny, funny, funny. Love, too, that you are a mom like me — one who lets the 5 year old’s views on such matters influence our behavior. I know many moms who would have braved the fit and taken the tree down when they wanted to. Makes our lives more, shall we say, “complicated” — but I think our embolden 5 year old girls are the stronger for it. They are empowered little people. :-)
