why haven’t I gone viral?

I think the word “sponsored” should be in tiny letters for this one because I’ve never had the kind of creative freedom I had for this one. The directive was “be funny”. Okay, thanks, smartwater.  Picking up on a theme that came up in their Jen Aniston video (see it here), I ask the question, “Why have none of my videos gone viral?” The kid coming home from the dentist has a three picture deal and I’m doing my darndest, but were it not for the loyal, funny cadre who watch these, I would be pissing in the wind!  (Thanks to the loyal cadre, by the way.)

I had fun doing this so I hope you enjoy watching this.

  1. Exactly. I don’t get it either, which is why I think you need a PR person to parade you around wherever moms lurk, and make you a household name. Or, all the mombloggers who enjoy high traffic ought to do you the small favor of advertising you on their sites.

Your three examples of the funny are spot-on, and I’ve no doubt you’ll keep creating more and more Coolio-worthy videos. If it ends up only being for the enjoyment of your loyal cadre, relatives, and kids…well, at least it keeps your creative muscle exercised.

I just love seeing which characters you have lurking inside, am thrilled whenever you throw on silly costumes, and even your commercials are something I crave. No matter what, you are doing something no one else is doing and doing it very well. I wish I knew how your product could be marketed more effectively…you must know SOMEONE who could help you take it to the next level.

  2. Well said Jessica.
I usually lurk, but loved Rex as disinterested Freud. Because our kids really don’t want to hear our baggage, right? Maybe you should get some puppies?

  3. So funny! What if you danced on a table in a diaper to a reggae-ton song? It worked for that brazilian baby!

  4. I don’t know how I missed this, I must have been actually
    working at work.
Don’t get a puppy, just keep being funny.
You are hilarious! Clearly the world needs more Daphne.
