What do you do with your non-recyclable, non-disposable trash? Here is my solution!

I have similar issues with my garbage, feelings of guilt and responsibility arise if I even consider tossing a plastic grocery bag into the trash instead of dutifully recycling it at the grocery store. And then the envy arises, of those with no conscience whatsoever who dispose of all garbage the old-fashioned way, without thinking twice about the consequences.
Can’t really help you with your batteries (or my own apparently), but you make a mighty good spokesperson for the dilemma. Just keep carrying them around with you everywhere, brings needed attention to the cause.
I’ve seen battery stores that will accept discarded batteries
and some libraries have collection bins.
Not that I ever have
the batteries with me when I see those bins,
Your whimsical method is probably the best solution.
Hi,
Love your video its really funny and your boy is adorable too. I have always struggled with this issue of batteries. my dad always told me not to through them in trash so then i would wonder where in the world would i dump them? for the longest time i would put them in recycling bin, but the other day i was out with my husband and i found this greatest mystery solved right in front of my eyes. my husband and i went to staples to return something and he gave me some used batteries and said “Here throw them in that box beside the door”. I was like ‘WAAAA’ the box was for used batteries. And my husband had a ‘duhhh..you didn’t know?’ face. In short i believe staples accept used batteries. Don’t be surprised if they say you have to buy something to dump them there . Besides now that they are part of your family i don’t know how hard it might be to depart from them but try, they need to move on with their life too. i live in Philadelphia i don’t know if every staples accept it or not but my best guess would be to go to a stationary store around you and ask them. i hope this helps.
Daphne, If you have an Orchard Supply down south they will take them at the front of the store. That is how I got rid of my basket of two years worth. They were happy to take them off my hands.
my partner has been driving around with a coffee can full of dead batteries for a couple months now. she knows where’s she going to take them (a battery store), but they’re never open when she’s in the vicinity.
