The genocides in the most gruesome, horrific ways…the torture of our fellow man by enemies and criminals, the destruction of the souls of children by loved and trusted authorities.
I try not to block the grimmest realities newsworthy or more obscure, from my conscious eye. Almost daily I reflect on how lucky I am and have no right to live depressed if the mood even strikes me. Because the suffering even of those who die lonely, painfully, and scared…under the rubble of earthquakes, drown by tsunamis…from cancers and accidents…is always worse than day-to-day inconveniences.
