Back with Sauce Talk!
When we shot this, I was struck by how kind, even and uncynical Christine is about her kids. When I watched the video, though, I just wanted to go put baffles in her dining room so the sound was better.
Look, most of the time going to the grocery store is a bore to me. Mostly because I do it ALL THE TIME. What’s with this eating thing around here? When they were tiny, a mashed banana and cheerios went a long way. Caroline Murphy is in the discussion as well.
So, if you have a choice… do you take the kids along for the ride?
Really interesting video. My little one is 5 months old, so she doesn’t really know much about the grocery store now. When she is older, I’m looking forward to bringing her along and teaching her how food transforms from the supermaket shelf into dinner on a plate.
Taking our kids to the store is fun, it is not shopping, it’s instead of TV. We get what we want, but slowly, but it’s fun. BTW, I do love Ragu. It’s a great base. Add to it a little thinly sliced garlic, fresh ginger and cracked pepper, or minced sweet red pepper and coriander or some finely chopped proscuitto and onion, then simmer for two minutes. Fantastic! Do whatever you want!
