  1. Oh yes! Daphne, you and I are on the same page! I just had to start wearing them as well. Eek! Freaks me out and I don’t like it but I have to have the glasses everywhere as well. I am turning 46 this December. I bought a ton of readers at the dollar store if you can believe that! I tried them out and they work. I think I am buying the 1.5+ strength for now. Take care and we should count our blessings for still being able to read and see at all! :-)

  2. Daphne, you look GREAT in glasses! They really suit you. They totally cover up the need for an eye job. ( not that you need one anyway)

  3. thanks!
I have since gotten a perscription. 1.5 in one eye, 1.75 in the other.
You are right about eye job. Hadn’t thought of that!

maybe it works for other flaws as well. Can I wear glasses on my gut?

  4. I like to think that my glasses are covering the lovely, inherited droopy upper eyelid thing I got going on. It doesn’t, but I like to think it does.

  5. I like that Black and White dress… you wear that to bed? Anyways.. have you heard of the Bates method of improving eyesight? Check it out.. I started doing just a couple exercises and the next year when I went to my eye doctor he did my test like 3x and was astonished that my prescription improved. It has been on my mind to change my diet to improve my eyesight per guidance from doctoryourself.com

But we’ll see. Another something you could try.
Oh, you look great in glasses.

  6. thanks for 4 eyed props all!

I will look up Bates, thanks. yes, I’ve heard diet can help as well.
that dress is Rachel Pally, kind of fancy. I buy from her when she has warehouse sales, but it’s a jersey an so comfy. love it

  7. i’ve been wearing reading glasses at the computer for 15 years, but the prescription was really minimum, like +.5 or less (wayyy less than any otc glasses), and mostly i was needing all the anti-glare stuff to keep me from over-focusing.

now! after giving birth… my eyes have gone to hell in a hand basket! i can no longer read in dim light. i have to hold things at arm’s length, blah blah blah. the worst is trimming toddler’s fingernails, and my own, for that matter.

  8. oh, and i just turned 41 a few months ago, so i’m afraid that my pregnancy induced whacky eyesight won’t go back, like can happen when you’re having babies in your 20s.
